Associated Groups
UBCC350
I joined UBCC350, a climate action group on campus, with the hopes to create practical changes and be involved in collective climate actions. Started off as a canvasser who campaigned around campus, I took on the role of an Outreach Coordinator as well as the Communications and Social Media Coordinator in the past two years. I have worked on campaigns including divestment, climate emergency, and support for indigenous groups in legal battles related to resource developments.
Impact Assessment Agency of Canada
Ever since I began my journey at UBC, I was determined to contribute to environmental protection and sustainable development. It felt as though an unattainable and ambitious goal until I got to be at the forefront of some of the most controversial environmental issues working as a co-op student at the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (formerly known as the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency). My time at the Agency has taught me the importance of balancing economic development and environmental conservation, as well as the value of indigenous consultation.
